Sync SharePoint files with your device

Syncing a SharePoint library to your device allows you to access files offline, keep them up to date across devices, and make working with your documents easier, whether you're connected to the internet or not. This functionality is primarily done through OneDrive, which integrates with SharePoint to offer seamless syncing capabilities.

To sync files and folders in SharePoint libraries
  1. Go to SharePoint

  2. Open the SharePoint Document Library
    1. Navigate to your SharePoint site and open the document library that you want to sync.
  3. Click on the "Sync" Button
    1. In the upper-right corner of the document library, you should see the Sync button. Click on it.

  4. Confirm OneDrive Launch
    1. Once you click "Sync," OneDrive will automatically launch and begin syncing the files to your device. If OneDrive is not already installed, it will prompt you to download and install it.
  5. Access Files Offline
    1. Once the sync is complete, you can access the files directly from your File Explorer under the OneDrive folder. The files will be available offline and will sync automatically when you're connected to the internet.
