Our process

  1. To ensure we deliver the best connectivity solution for your business, we begin with a one-on-one consultation. This helps us understand your specific requirements and assess your current setup.
  2. Our team also evaluates your existing equipment to determine compatibility. If your current setup works with our services, we’ll optimise it; if not, we’ll provide and install the most suitable hardware solution. If you're still in Fibre to the Node (FTTN), we can check your business address to confirm eligibility for an NBN Fibre Connection.
  3. Following our assessment, we’ll provide a comprehensive proposal outlining the most suitable NBN connection, hardware, implementation timelines, and itemised costings. We’ll work with you to create a transition plan, agree on a go-live date, and ensure a seamless switch with minimal downtime. We'll also be on hand to answer any questions around the content of the proposal (We appreciate that "tech speak" isn't everyone's language!).
  4. Once you approve the proposal, our team will initiate the transition to your our NBN service. Most of the work happens in the background, but if onsite installation is needed, we’ll coordinate with you to arrange it. Any required equipment will be dispatched directly to your site.
  5. Before fully switching over, we conduct a round of testing to ensure everything is working perfectly. This guarantees a smooth transition from the moment your new service is activated.
  6. After going live, we continue managing your connection in the background. Our support team is on-hand if you need any assistance or adjustments, ensuring your business stays connected without interruption.

FAQs

  1. Will I need to purchase new equipment?
    1. If your existing equipment is compatible, we will reuse it for the changeover. However, if it’s not compatible, we’ll provide a proposal outlining the most suitable hardware and associated costs.
  2. How can we check if we’re eligible for the NBN free fibre upgrade?
    1. We’ll check if your business address qualifies for the upgrade and confirm your eligibility.
  3. Are there connection fees or additional charges for business NBN?
    1. In most cases, there are no charges for business installations. If new equipment is needed, it will be outlined in the proposal. However, if connecting to the NBN network for the first time, NBN charges a $297 connection fee to provision the connection.
  4. What is a Static IP Address, and do I need one for my business?
    1. A Static IP address is a fixed address assigned to your connection that doesn’t change, unlike dynamic IPs. Businesses may need a Static IP for:
      1. Hosting file servers or applications.
      2. Setting up remote access (VPNs, remote desktops).
      3. Hosting a website, email server, or other online services.
      4. Enabling secure access to business systems.
  5. Do I need 4G LTE failover with my business NBN service?
    1. 4G failover ensures uninterrupted internet by switching to a 4G connection if your NBN service goes down. If you're interested in adding 4G backup, we can implement suitable equipment into the network design—just let us know, and we’ll include it in your proposal.
  6. How long does it take to switch to our NBN services?
    1. If you already have an existing NBN connection, the switch typically takes 1–5 business days. For new connections, it can take up to 20 business days (dependent on NBN technician availability). Once we assess your setup, we’ll provide a clear timeline for your transition.
  7. Will my connection be affected during the transition?
    1. We strive to ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime. While there may be a brief period of service interruption as your connection is switched from your old provider to our NBN service, we coordinate the changeover to minimise disruptions to your business operations. If any downtime is expected, we’ll inform you in advance and work to keep it as short as possible.
  8. What happens if there’s an issue with my connection after switching?
    1. Contact our support team if you experience any issues—we’re here to help troubleshoot and resolve them promptly.
  9. How do we initiate the switch to our NBN?
    1. Book an NBN consultation and we'll guide you through the process—from checking your eligibility to selecting the best plan and ensuring a smooth transition for your business.
